My second Family...Home away from Home

I am taking the time to give a quick shout-out to the three other teachers from Iowa State that are here along with me! They are truly like a second family since we have been here. We do almost everything together, we have 'family' dinners together almost every night, we go on weekend adventures, we exercise, we help each other out, and we talk about anything and everything.
This makes us extremely close as a group; it is crazy that most of us did not even know about one another before this trip, and in the last four weeks we have become so close, so quickly. I guess when you get thrown into another country with only three other people, you stick together in order to navigate, survive, and thrive.
I confidently know that I would not be able to survive this experience without them and their support, especially with the way it started out. We all genuinely care about how one anther is doing and how our experiences are going. I know each and every one of us would go out of our way to help each other, and it is just a every cool feeling. A month ago, if you would have told me that we would have become this close already, I would have thought you were insane.
What an awesome idea, that one similar life event that we share can bring people closer than they ever thought possible. It is an incredible feeling to have this guaranteed support system backing you up along the way of a insightful, chaotic, inspiring, once-in-a-life-time learning experience. I would not want it any other way; you guys rock!!

So, here is to us, all of the adventures and memories that we have made thus far, and to all of the adventures that lay ahead of us in the future days to come.
